Caradoc Retreats is a development of just eight individually designed lodges. That number is deliberate. It means no crowded car parks, no noise from neighbouring pitches, no resort atmosphere. The site looks out across open countryside towards the Shropshire Hills National Landscape. Caer Caradoc rises to the east. The Long Mynd sits on the horizon to the west. At golden hour the light across the hills is something worth building a weekend around. These are the views you wake up to and the reason people come back.

The Shropshire Hills are some of the best walking country in England and the lodge sits right at the edge of them. The Long Mynd, the Jack Mytton Way, Caer Caradoc itself, all within easy reach on foot or by bike. Church Stretton has good independent cafes for when you get back. Ludlow is twenty minutes away for when you want something more. The balance between activity and doing absolutely nothing is one this place gets exactly right.
